Robert Cogburn Robert has been shaping the gaming industry for over 15 years, contributing to multiple AAA titles that have earned critical acclaim and Game of the Year honors. With a deep expertise in third-person action-adventure games and action RPGs, he has played a pivotal role in defining game visions, driving production, and leading creative teams to craft unforgettable player experiences. Passionate about the intersection of narrative and game design, he believes that the player’s journey should always be at the heart of every great game. Having worked with some of the most renowned studios in the world, Robert continues to push the boundaries of what games can achieve—both as art and entertainment.

“Study Game Development Abroad at Falmouth University, UK”

William Huber, Professor, Falmouth University

William Huber Professor Huber is a researcher, lecturer and writer focusing on the aesthetics of games, media, and software. He has published articles and book chapters analyzing and interpreting games and game culture. Professor Huber is currently associate professor of game studies at Falmouth University, leading the game development courses and engaging in research. He was previously head of the Centre for Excellence in Game Education at Abertay University, where he promoted efforts to advance game education at Abertay and create a vibrant international centre for the intellectual and artistic exploration of digital games and interactive media. Before coming to the United Kingdom, he spent five years teaching courses on video game theory, design and history in the Interactive Media and Games Division of the School for Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.

“Learning Skillsets for Virtual Production”

Mary Clarke-Miller, Berkeley City College  

Mary Clarke-Miller With over a decade of dedication to Berkeley City College, Mary's journey has been marked by leading the charge in the innovative world of animation and game design. She has pioneered a Virtual Production Academy, a groundbreaking collaboration with six Bay Area Community College institutions, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the technical artist curriculum. Her competencies in creative direction and computer graphics have been instrumental in this endeavor, ensuring her programs mirror the dynamic needs of the industries served.

Her department at BCC has earned the distinction of becoming an official Academic Epic Partner, setting them apart as a leader in community college education. The academy's success is a testament to their commitment to integrating real-time and traditional computer graphics, empowering students with hands-on experiences in green screen, virtual production camera tracking, back screen projection and lighting, photogrammetry, mocap, and Unreal Engine utilization. This approach has not only enhanced educational experiences but also prepared students for real-world projects.
